On November 29, 2024, the Norwegian metal band Allfader will return with their first album in almost 14 years, titled “Call of the Void”.

On their third album, Allfader showcase their unmistakable sound featuring heavy riffs, relentless drumming, and melodies that balance the beautiful with the brutal. Drawing inspiration from traditional heavy metal, death metal, and many influences in between, the band has also incorporated more clean vocals than ever before.
The core of the band, John Erik Andersen (guitar/vocals) and Cato Skivik (drums), have been joined by Chris-Rudi Lind (ELITE) on bass and vocals, and guitarist Roger Einmo (MAIDEN NORWAY).
Additionally, the album features an impressive line-up of guest musicians:
- Idar “Archaon” Burheim (1349) – guitar solo on “Wars Are Fought With Weapons, but They Are Won by Men”
- Michael Eriksen Briggs (VORBID) – guitar solo on “God-Emperor”
- Tom Andersen (EVI) – guitar solos on “Tigers in the Mud” and “The Tower”
- Lars Christian Bjørknes (MAJOR PARKINSON) – keyboards on the title track “Call of the Void”
The album was recorded and mixed by Hans Marius Øverland, Kristian Granheim, produced by John Erik Andersen, and mastered by renowned producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark. The cover artwork was painted and designed by Didrik Jon “Nekron” Kristoffersson, known for his dark and detailed works.
‘Call of the Void’ will be released through Throw Horns and can be pre-ordered as a gatefold LP from allfader.bandcamp.com. The album will be available in a limited edition black vinyl, as well as an even more exclusive, hand-numbered splatter vinyl edition.
For the most dedicated fans, the complete album will initially only be available on vinyl on November 29, 2024. A full streaming version will be released on December 20, 2024.
